Alan Jones Associates was appointed as consultants with an expertise in parks and open spaces to carry out the initial Feasibility Study, and thereafter, retained as Project Manager charged with the responsibility of securing the capital funding to deliver the project’s ambition for a £500,000 play area.

Phases 1 saw the installation of £450,000 of new, innovative and disabled-friendly play equipment.

Alan Jones Associates were commissioned to carry out a second Feasibility Study for Phase 2. This study identified Public Toilets, Community Café and Scooter/Wheeled Sports Facilities as the community’s expressed needs. Alan secured full planning permission for the new Wheeled Sports facility and funding is currently being sought.
