Caithness Broch Project
We were commissioned to carry out a business plan for the construction of a new Iron Age Broch and an options appraisal of 6 sites in Caithness where this new building could be located.
The community engagement comprised a wide range of key stakeholders including local Community Councils, Archaeology Scotland, the University of Edinburgh, Highland Council Archaeologist, John O’Groats Trail, John O’Groats Trust, Caithness Voluntary Group, Dunbeath Preservation Trust, the Wick Society, Yarrows Heritage Trust and Thurso Heritage Society.
In addition, there were 322 responses to the community consultation survey. The project is now moving to the next phase.
